About Us
Teach London South East is delighted to be working in partnership with Tes Institute to deliver initial teacher training (ITT) through its Department of Education (DFE) accredited programme.
Teach London South East offer a classroom-based training route in partnership with accredited provider - the Tes Institute - have a reputation for innovative online learning materials which offer great flexibility for your learning. The blended learning programme combines school-based training, online learning sessions, experienced subject specialists as mentors and high quality professional studies training sessions. During the programme, trainees are treated as a member of staff at the school and will attend staff meetings and development sessions to give a true teacher experience whilst learning from inspiring colleagues.
Teaching builds up slowly so trainees are not 'dropped in at the deep end'. To start with, trainees observe lessons and then each week the amount of lead teaching increases as confidence levels grow.
Mentors will be central to a trainees development and so we have committed to their ongoing training. Their careful support is also complimented by Pathway Tutors from the Tes Institute through their visits each half-term.
The programme provides a blend of online learning and in-school experience which leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an option to add a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
We offer two ITT Primary Teacher Training Programmes:
- Primary Teacher (no specialism) (ITT Fee Funded)
- Primary as a Maths Specialist - (ITT Fee Funded
